When he told Regina, “Nothing can stop the darkness. Except of course, their unborn child.”
We were supposed to believe he meant breaking the curse. That would have been a 1 season show and done.
Yet, we have been told frequently that predictions and the future aren’t what they seem. We were pointedly reminded again in this huge SQ season finale (yet again).
The darkness isn’t the curse.
It is the darkness in Regina’s heart. Nothing can stop that except Emma.
